Petra means rock and is an archaeological city in Jordan. It is known for its rock cut architecture and the water conduit system. It is located among the mountains of Arabah. It has been named as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This site dates back to about 300 BC. It was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Its nickname is “Rose City”.
