Ramadan, the month of supplications
All praise is due to Allah. He answers the supplications of His servants and grant them what they need. I bear witness that there is deity save Allah, having no associates. He is the Lord of the earth and the heavens. I also bear witness that our Master Muhammad is the Servant of Allah and His Messenger. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his pure blessed family and companions, and all those who follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
As to what follows,
I urge you, O servants of Allah, and myself to be aware that you are asked to obey Him the Most Exalted, in line with His orders: "O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous." (Al-Baqara: 21).
O Observers of Fasting,
Aspendos Roman Theatre History
Aspendos Roman Theatre is a beautifully preserved Ancient Roman site in Turkey. In fact, it seems to be almost completely intact.
Still able to seat up to 15,000 people this Roman amphitheatre was once part of the city of Aspendos, which was founded by Ancient Greeks from Argos and was first written about by the Hittites in 800 BC.
Under the Romans, the city grew even more prosperous and Aspendos Roman Theatre was built there during the mid-second century AD.
Visitors can wander around Aspendos Roman Theatre and it even plays host to an annual summer festival. Nearby are also the remains of an Ancient Roman aqueduct. This impressive site features as one of our Top 10 Tourist Attractions in Turkey.

Persian Philosopher/Ibn Sina
Early Life
Persian philosopher Ibn Sina or Avicenna (c.980-1037) was born in the village of Afshana near the present-day Bukhara (in Uzbekistan) then a leading city in Persia (Iran.) His mother Setareh was from the same village, while his father Abdullah was Ismaili, who was a respected local governor, under the Samanid dynasty was from the ancient city of Balkh (today Afghanistan). His real name is Abu Ali al-Husayn Ibn Abd Allan Ibn Sina, however, he is commonly referred to under his Latinized name Avicenna. In the Muslim world, he is known simply as Ibn Sina.
At an early age, his family moved to Bukhara where he studied Hanafi jurisprudence with Isma‘il Zahid and at about 13 years of age he studied medicine with a number of teachers. At the age of 16, he established himself as a respected physician. Besides studying medicine, he also dedicated much of his time to the study of physics, natural sciences and metaphysics.

Devamını okuSwallow and Sparrow
Swallow and sparrow became close friends. They started walking around in together. Other swallows said nothing at the beginning about this circumstance. However, the things changed when the swallow started bringing the sparrow to its nest. Nest of the swallow was under the eaves of an empty wooden house and there were many nests of swallow next to it. Going there from and thereto made swallows disturbed.
Swallows held a meeting and they appointed a spokesman. This spokesman told about this circumstance with it in a suitable time and said it not to bring this sparrow to its nest.
Although the swallow showed some obstinacy, it finally was obliged to obey by this requirement.
One night the sparrow suddenly wakened while it was sleeping. Tree on which it built up its nest among its branches was swinging. It flied away and had a look-see round the environment. Thereupon, it recognised that it was an earthquake.
On the School of Ramadan
All praise is due to Allah for His encompassing favours and perfect kindness. We thank Him also for helping us to stand for prayer in the nights of Ramadan and fast its days. I bear witness that there is deity save Allah, having no associates. I also bear witness that our Master Muhammad is the Servant of Allah and His Messenger. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his pure blessed family and companions, and all those who follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.
As to what follows,
I urge you, O servants of Allah, and myself to be aware that you are asked to obey Him the Most Exalted, in line with His orders: "and those who are guided - He increases them in guidance and gives them their righteousness." (Muhammad: 17).

I bear witness that there is no deity save Allah, having no associates. I also bear witness that our Master Muhammad is the Servant of Allah and His Messenger. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, his pure blessed family and companions, and all those who follow them in righteousness till the Day of Judgment.

Yalıbolu Houses
The well known Amasya Yalıbolu Houses are calmly and quietly located between the fortress cliff and the river bank in Amasya hence, their fascinating landscape provides the visitors captivating setting. Also they reflect traditional Ottoman Art Style in our day.
HISTORY
The history of those homes dates back to the Great Ottoman Period in between 19th and 20th centuries. Actually, within this period, the citizens of Ottoman Empire lived in those glorious and brilliant buildings. At the beginning, this area of houses hosted the Romans; they built the magnificent city walls in order to protect their country against any invasion of the enemies. But later, Ottomans came here and found their Empire and established today’s Yalıbolu houses on the old city walls.
Peace or Jihad? Abrogation in Islam
That there is no compulsion in Islam and that Islam is a religion of peace are common refrains among Muslim activists,[1]academics,[2] officials,[3] and journalists.[4] In an age of terrorism and violent jihad, nowhere, they argue, does the Qur'an allow Muslims to fight non-Muslims solely because they refuse to become Muslim.[5] Proponents of Islamic tolerance point to a number of Qur'anic verses which admonish violence and advocate peace, tolerance, and compromise.[6]
But not all verses in the Qur'an have the same weight in assessment. Unlike the Old or New Testaments, the Qur'an is not organized by chronology but rather by size of chapters.[7] Even within chapters, chronology can be confused. In sura (chapter) 2, for example, God revealed verses 193, 216, and 217 to Muhammad shortly after he arrived in Medina. God only revealed verses 190, 191, and 192 six years later.[8] This complicates interpretation, all the more when some verses appear to contradict.
